The New Bay Bridge

Finished in 2013, the new span of the San Francisco Bay Bridge holds the Guinness World Record for the widest bridge in the world. As you can see in the background, illuminated by the new bridge, is the old cantilever bridge that collapsed during the Loma Prieta Earthquake in 1989.
