Yosemite Valley has always held a very special place in my heart. Hiking to the top of its many granite mountain faces, and being misted by its impressive waterfalls has left an indelible impression in my soul. This particular photo was taken in August during the intense California drought. It was sad to be in the valley and see the famous Yosemite waterfalls dried up, but it was a relief that the everlasting Merced River still happily flowed through the Valley floor.
